Bakomatic: Social Networking/Content Management Platform
Precision Technologies began working with The Bakersfield Californian newspaper in Bakersfield, CA in late 2004 to develop in-house core technology for use with their future product plans and future technology migration. The project has resulted in a versatile content management system that is now hosting a large number of mini-brands as well as a portion of the company's main site. The Bakomatic platform is available for licensing to third parties from Participata.com. Precision Tech offers customization and support to licensees of the Bakomatic platform through Participata.com.

Bakotopia
Bakotopia.com is an award winning social networking hub based in Bakersfield California and was the impetus for development of the Bakomatic Platform. Bakotopia is a youth oriented website targeting Bakersfield residents age 18-35, which quickly gained popularity within the local community.
Bakotopia was the winner of a NAA Digital Edge Award in 2006.
Northwest Voice, Southwest Voice, and Tehachapi News
Northwestvoice.com is the second website implemented using the Bakomatic Platform developed for Bakotopia.com. Northwestvoice.com caters to a new and growing segment of the internet termed, "citizen journalism". Northwestvoice.com has a companion print edition to the site that is delivered to over 24,000 homes in Bakersfield California.
The success of Northwestvoice.com and the ease in which new sites can be implemented using the Bakomatic Platform, has prompted the creation of two sister products: Southwestvoice.com and TehachapiNews.com
Mas
Masbakersfield.com is the third website implemented using the Bakomatic Platform.
Masbakersfield.com takes a slightly different angle towards social networking and targets a specific local ethnic community and combines web-based content with a print periodical to increase readership.
New to Bakersfield
Newtobakersfield.com is a "newcomers" site that takes full advantage of the flexible nature of the social networking Bakomatic Platform.
Newtobakersfield.com focuses on providing a specialized forum for people newly introduced to Bakersfield California.
Bakersfield.com Profiles
The Bakomatic Platform is used in a completely different manner for Bakersfield.com. Unlike Bakotopia.com and its sister sites, the Bakomatic Platform serves in this instance as a "bolt on" user registration and profile management system.
The success of the Bakomatic Platform as a external user management system has prompted further expansion into other "persona" related activities, including User Blogs.
